Preparing for a plant ceremony
Now that the ceremony is approaching, we are here to help you prepare. This page helps you be fully ready.
Remember: you do not have to answer everything, only what feels right for you. It is about discovering things about yourself and taking steps forward.
Questions to reflect on
These questions help you set intentions for your journey. Send us your answers at the latest one day in advance.
- What would you like to work on? Why do you want this session?
- Write down three things that have made you happy recently, without anyone else being needed for it.
- Name three short-term goals you want to set for yourself.
- Name three aspects that bring you feelings of shame or disappointment.
- Would you like to share some insights about your upbringing?
- Describe your role within your family and your current relationships, and how that used to be.
- Do you have any injuries or vulnerabilities?
- Describe your current situation regarding career, friendships, intimacy, finances, self-development, free time and eating habits.
Guidelines beforehand
- Minimise internet and television for at least three days before the ceremony.
- Spend time in nature, walk, move or meditate.
- Avoid dairy, meat and fish from three days in advance — preferably vegan. Minimise sugar, salt and pepper.
- Choose green vegetables and fruit. Drink enough water.
- No coffee, alcohol, marijuana, nicotine or other substances in the three days beforehand.
What to bring
- A notebook.
- Something meaningful to have with you: a photo, a stone, an object.
- Extra clothing. There are cushions and blankets, but your own duvet can be comforting.
- Optionally a playlist or a musical instrument.
Practical
- On arrival you hand in your phone and, if applicable, your car keys.
- The session is at your own risk. You are responsible for any damage caused.
